Life in Puna might be slow but it is rarely boring. This forum is dedicated to those who live in Puna Hawaii. Own their own home or are planning to buy real estate in Puna HI. Or are planning to visit/vacation to the Puna District on the Island of Hawaii. Puna is one of the 6 districts on the Island of Hawaii also known as the Big Island. It is located on the windward side (east side) of the island. This is also the wet side of the island as it rains quite a bit here.

The Puna Forum is open to all those who would like to discuss all things Puna and Hawaii. This forum is supported entirely by its owner/administrator and at this time we will not ask for donations or sell advertising. If you have something to ask, ask it here. The population of Puna is very unique. Some are very opinionated and like to speak their mind as Puna accepts all who shall speak. Some are very creative and Puna allows them to create without influence from the outside world. Some just want to be left alone and disappear into the countryside rarely to be seen or heard from again. Needless to say, Puna accepts all types. What type are you?

Puna Hawaii (or Puna Big Island) has two towns that provide most of the shopping, restaurants and population. The towns are Keaau and Pahoa. Add to this that Puna Real Estate is affordable Hawaii Real Estate and you'll see why Puna is so unique.
